Tips for Individuals: Get the Most Value from Your Tax Refund

Tax time is one of the few opportunities when servicemembers receive a sizable amount of money – especially if they take advantage of the earned-income tax credit. While it may be tempting to spend that money on wants rather than needs, saving a portion of your tax refund can protect you from the need to turn to payday loans or other high-cost credit options later in the year. It can also serve as a foundation to grow your existing savings.

The goal of Military Saves is to promote the importance of savings and encourage servicemembers and their families to take financial action. Utilize the following articles as a resource during tax time:

Individuals – don’t forget to take the Military Saves Pledge.

Organizations - don't forget to sign up for Military Saves Week. Check out what organizations have already signed up here.
