MILITARY SAVES INDUCTED INTO DOD’S MILITARY SPOUSE EMPLOYMENT PARTNERSHIP
(WASHINGTON, D.C) December 8, 2020 — On December 9 , 2020, Military Saves will join the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership in a virtual ceremony. Military Saves joins 85 new partners to MSEP – bringing the number of employers to 500.
“We’re honored to be a part of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership. As a staff of all military spouses, we know from experience that veterans and military families face challenges when it comes to gaining employment, and we also know that they have a lot to offer employers,” said Angela Caban, Director, at Military Saves.
MSEP connects military spouses with hundreds of partner employers who commit to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses. Since its inception in 2011, MSEP employers have hired more than 175,000 military spouses.
“The work of Military Saves is to encourage the military community to save, as we believe that financial readiness is mission readiness. If veterans and military families are facing employment challenges, they will not be in the position to save effectively,” adds Caban.
For those interested in viewing Military Saves’ induction into the partnership, the Defense Department will live stream the opening session on the Military OneSource Facebook page and individual induction ceremonies will be livestreamed on the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities Facebook page at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
